I also was in conversation with Neo about a 3 day festival that I was planning to do for the members of ac to join in on down near chicago at another ac members place, even had plans lined up to truck down my concession trailer and make it a quality gig. Though I decided that I would back off as a direct result of said matters with this mod. I would strongly urge that your mod team really consider seriously if concerns about mod conduct are valid or not. I would also suggest that when a post is reported that sending a pm to let the person know that the flag has been seen is under way so that people will know that someone at least is looking into the matter.

I have had quite a few pm's from other members who said that they could not believe that certain individuals thought it their place to verbally tar and feather. I will freely admit that a few times I decided to take them to task by answering their posts face to face, yet, in future times I will make sure that the report post button is accessed.

Hi guys, I am a new member here and allow me to put my perspective in this matter.

I've been reading few "drama" posts. I suppose this kind of situation happens almost everywhere.

I don't mind to share my knowledge to others and certainly will accept more knowledge from others. That's what we call sharing and that's the purpose of any forum like this one, i.e, as a place to exchange knowledge and opinion.

Unfortunately some people might think they know more than the others so when someone is trying to share his/her own view on something, others, who think they know more than him, jumping in. This might be unintentional as sometime, with the reasons of grammar, comas, question marks, acclamation marks, it may look a bit rude.

So I suggest when we talk in the forum like this where you cant see eachother faces, we use proper grammar, add comas, paragraph and most importantly, act intelegently and be always humble.

Also, I've noticed quite often when someone is sharing what he knows, and when someone else says...no...that's not right...he becomes offended and try to debate that person with all he got. I think this is where the problem started.

I think a good way to overcome this is to be cool, and if that person turns to be the right one, please be humble and apologize and thank that person for corrections.

I have applied a few personal discipline in posting:

1. When you don;tk know you ask.
2. When you know but not sure, shut up. Don't post or google.
3. When you know and you have your legitimate proof, you post and help others.
4. When you post, always be polite, say thanks, simple words like in my humble opinion (IMHO), This can soften things a bit and avoid the "rude assumption" factor. These are verbal gestures that we can use because we don't see each other faces on the net.

Please bear in mind that my experience maybe differs than yours.

For example I live in a tropical climate country, my condition and experience in keeping rays may be different than you guys in America or 4 seasons country. The rays in our country may have different body immune system. Another example is water treatment. I know for exampe that you guys who live in Australia (i've been living there for 14 years) use treated tap water. (contains chlorine) and ground water is almost unavailable in household use. It's completely different here. We use ground water so we don't add anything on the water for our fishes.

I think, if you decide not to post because of someone is trying to be a "jerk" does not really solve a problem. Because anywhere you go...any forum you go...there will always be some jerks who think they are superior and simply rude just because they think they don't see your face.

So please keep on posting, report problems to the mods. Use ignore tool. But keep on humble, use proper punctuation and grammars, keep on helping and sharing with others.

Oh about grammar, i must apologize as english is not my 1st language. I still need some more training about this

We have a list of global moderators and moderators at the bottom of the forum homepage. Click "View Forum Leaders". Cheech, Dangerdoll, msjinkzd, Rbishop and Reefscape comprise the group of global moderators. The rest of us are just moderators there.

Chef, any further issues you have with the AC staff and the AC members, please direct your complaints there because this is a separate issue from this forum even if both MFK and AC are sister sites.

You're english is better than many people's who have lived in America for their entire lives! You are correct, too. #4 can go a long way.
