Whoa! How big is your community tank? :WHOA:

A Trimac should be able to hold his own.

possibly, but make sure the tank is like 400 gals+, and all those cichlids together doesn't sound good to me.

Congrats on your new Trimac, Odie!

Man, they are true monsters. :headbang2

I'd be a little cautious letting a Trimac live with much of anything in a normal sized tank. I have two and they cannot live with anything...well, one lives with a rainbow shark because there is lots of drift wood and rock to hide in while the trimac is wound up. When my largest was just 5" I temporarily stuck my 13" oscar in with him cause he was beating on my female oscar. The two lasted for about three minutes. The minute Homer (big oscar) started making faces and challenging the trimac, the trimac went ballistic. I stuck a divider in and kept them seperate for a week or so while the oscar simmered and was able to get back together with his mate.

Below is a pic of my two Trimacs. The larger seemed male, and the smaller female, so I thought I would pull the divider and let the two get better aquainted while I supervised. That didn't last long either. A few minutes in and this is what they were up to. The larger was too rough on the smaller, so the two ended up in seperate tanks.
