150 for 5? then how much can a 100 hold

depends on footprint, tanksmates, what type of dat, and what size you get them at.

im assuming 60x18, and if you go with a NGT, NTT, or AT you'll be good for life. an IT or ST you will need to upgrade to a 24" wide eventually but that will be quite a while.

i've had multiple and they didn't like each other. with cichlids mine is very peaceful.

as far as food, mine started only taking bloodworms, worked up to krill and shrimp, and will now eat pellets. some have luck with pellets, others dont

My mom heard me saying i want a datnoid but i dont think i have room for it rite now. she then decided it would be ok to have it in my 100g with my pair jags and got it anyways. i dont want it to get shreded. all i got left spare is a 20g long, how long do u think a 2 2-3 datnoid would last in a 20g long?

OP: these fish grow EXTREMELY slow. if you buy then at 3-5" (average size at your LFS), you can expect them to fit in a much smaller tank for a long time.

I have my IT in a 4ft 65G with an oscar, a jurupari and a delhezi.
Will be fine for ages. Will get interesting in about 6 months after the oscars massive growth spurt (3'' at current)

realistically youre looking at an average of 1-2" a year. (probably closer to 1).
