I want a Ray in a 55gallon.

It's not so much gallons, it's the footprint. I've got mine in a 8'x3'x2.5' and I suspect I'll have to upgrade at some point. I wouldn't recommend you try keeping a blue spot though. Read up on them and you'll find that they don't do well in captivity. I'd say over 90% of them die quickly.

no? anyway my LFS around here carry RBP, Snapping Turtles, Occashionly a Sea Turtle, and all that good stuff. And this is IN Cali that there selling them. if you ask me they take some huge risk to get that $$$

just did its 50/50 so it goes to the bucket list. but would a group of blue damels do good? how many could i put in my tank?
 
If the tank is 5 x 2.5 x 2, then it's actually a little over 180 gallons, not 55. Not sure if you could keep any rays in there though, I'd guess not.

Damsels are pretty mean. I would get chromis. They tend to stay in a group, but usually they pick each other off over time until there's only two left. I started with 12 about a year and a half ago. I'm down to 9 now for about the last ~7-8 months. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll get along.

the Blue Damsels or the chromis? if the chromis do then i dont mind having mean fishies. any other saltwater fish that school?
