I want a red devil.

I really want a red devil but the only way I can get one is to get rid of all of the fish in my 60 gallon and make him a wet pet or ditch the Oscar in my 125 and do a community with the red devil. I can't decide. Which option do you all think would work best in the long run? Also to the people that have owned an Oscar and Red Devil which fish did you like best. Right now my oscar has zero personality.

Red devil community is not a normal thing,it may kill everything and end up alone. I say red devil in the 60 if you really want it

No really! I got the oscar a few weeks ago and he is albino well lutino and he does not come up to the glass when I walk up to the tank. Instead he backs up like he is scared. He stays in pretty much the same spot all day. He won't even eat. I had a reg oscar once and he would always be so excited when I walked up and he would eat anything. Idk maybe the lutino ones are different but so far I am very disapointed :-(

keep the oscar, they are way more fun. he will jump for food and eat anything... get grumpy and show extreme excitement. theres a reason they are so popular, help him out, get some feeders into quarantine and buy some river shrimp. get some different sorts of pellets, and add dithers like silver dollars, redline torpedo barbs, angel fish... if he sees other fish eating and out and about he should mellow. rd/midas generally will just eat their pellets and turn their nose up at anything thats not! most wont be glass banging maniacs and will be quite boring imho.

whats your current stock?

also rd will kill everthing in anything under a 180 imo...
