Also, I was just thinking I could tip the 336 on its side, but I still have no Idea if it would fit. I want it so bad. I dont even know if my floors could hold it. I dbout they could. So it would be better to wait until I move from this current house and into another that has better flooring. The only reason we are in this house is because we had to move quick and ended up with a sh*** house.

Because of this house, I have to get a 180!

AS Fish god as my witness I will get one of those AES tanks in my next house! This biggest one! And I'll keep A group of aro's in it!

:loony:

dont be selfish

put the fishes needs before your desires

patience young arowana keeper...

Nowhere for the 300 to go... Nowhere for the Fiberglass tank to go. Im going to get one of those fiberglass tanks once I get a house with a basement that has concrete floors.

Whats wrong with a 180? I read other posts about Jardinis and I have actually seen YOU say that a 180 would be fine for a Jardini, But if I have misinterpreted what you have been saying in other threads, please correct me.

Also, the measurements of the fiberglass tanks takes up half my room, There woulnt be enough room for my bed. I'd have to sleep on the ground, but with a 180 There is room.

I just dont see whats so bas about 180's? Most of the people I see on MFK and other sites keep full grown (24+ inches) jardinis in 180's and they seem fine to me...

I didnt see your last post and I got a little Heated.

But man, I want a Jardini! I'm going insane.

how about a black arowana? a 180g will be fine for many many years with a black aro. i agree with delgado about getting the biggest tank/tub possible for your aro but if the bigger tank/tubs are out of the question then a 180g should be good for a long time for any aro, except maybe jars/leis because youll need to upgrade if they get any bigger than around 20". many people say you can keep a 24" jar in a 180g because theyr an aro and supposedly flexible but think of it as keeping a 13" oscar in a 13" wide tank(some people do do that but imo thats much too small).

Yeah, but theyre damned exspensive! I thought they got just as big as silvers?

I dont want to have it live in the 180 just for it to get too big and end up selling/giving away.

But I honestly dont see whats bad about the 180's? Most people suggest them for Jardinis and I thought it would be alright?

I have to go, school tommorow ofcourse. I'll be on tommorow..

Thanks so far for the help everyone!

if you want a jardini the dimension of the 180 will have to be 72x24x24

i dont recomend a 180 for any arowana but your feelings are interfering with your head, so go with a jardini, whatever you do dont pick a leichardti, that fish will reach 36'' inches soon enough.

and stay away from blacks and silvers until your aquire a larger tank in futures time.

with the 125 gallon... why dont you just get a smaller aro... maybe 3"-4" and grow it for a year or so. by that time im sure your budget would be a lot bigger. i got a jar and 2 silvers in a 180g right now. all lil guys. also got 15 dats with the aros. my tank is way too small for them fully grown, but right now its just alright for the lil guys.

that is how most fish get stuck in too small tanks

he could save for a bigger tank in the future, but any money left over he will have to spend on supplies such as food, water, water conditioners, equipment, etc.

if i was him id get the biggest tank i could in one shot.

dude, just get the 180 for now, and buy a small jar, like around 4" or so, then after u move to another house two yrs later, ur jar still won't need a bigger tank. just get a bigger tank then when u r ready...don't make simple matters so complicated... and if you r concerning about the price of the tank, i say luk into the DIY forum and give that a try, u might even find urself end up building an acrylic tank by urself, who knows, just start planning
