I would do an outside pond. Open the door for something REALLY big. 1-2k gallons.

I was actually considering this. I looked into some nice looking indoor ponds on the other forum section. I like the ones that are made out of wood with the liner. They can look very nice.

Yeah as soon I get the cash I want to do a framed pond outside, off the patio. I have a 10x25" patio w/outdoor speakers, fire pit etc, The patio sits about 3/4' off the ground.I want to drop a 2x25" framed pond off the adjacent end of the patio, would sit 1/2 underground, other 1/2 planked framed.

It's all in my head right now...I need to spec it out via some 3D software when I have the time.

I think a pond would be a REALLY fun project. Keep some big ass fish in there...lol
