I want bright !!! How do I get it?

I understand. I thought the higher the K#, the brighter. However, its actually more blue. So, a 10k would be more bright white than an 18K? I think I get it. Thanks!!

yeah, that's all it is, the color temperature of the bulb. This will give you an idea. It won't agree exactly to the bulbs, but it's a good reference

You can also paint the inside of the hood white, it will reflect just as much light as foil.

aluminum foil will help a bit, but i'd switch out the bulbs. Just watch out for getting too bright a bulb and end up with an algae problem
