I want this beefy barred midas...is it too much?

I normally would agree, but this thing is huge. I wish I had pics, but I had no camera at the time. I think I will probably pass. One thing I didn't add is I have a $75 credit at the store, so I would actually be paying $100 out of pocket. I am still not sure. They have some other very cool fish for less money, not as cool as this guy though. I'll let you guys know what I end up with. That's why I come here. Sometimes we need to be talked off the ledge.
 
Sorry to be of the monority opinion, but I WOULD DEFINITELY SNAG THAT SUCKER!

You never know what you "might" get when ordering fish or when waiting for one to grow up. SEIZE THE DAY!

You're not completey on your own. I said I think it's a lot of money but:

Raising your own is cool but you never know what you're gonna get as an adult. You already know that this one is one of the best looking barred Midas' you've seen. Remember, I bought an 11" Dovii because he was so beautiful I couldn't resist. I traded in several other excellent fish to make space. Look how many people buy a juvie Dovii, raise it for a couple of years and get a so-so looking adult they're unhappy with and end up starting over. I know it's not a Dovii in your situation but the same principal applies.

So again I say bring on the pics if you get that thing home. :drool:

I second the "go get it". Mine was raised by someone else, but he is a good as mine.

i love barred's, that's all i'm keeping right now.
i say go get it what ever the cost lol.
 
If you cahn afford it and you really want it, buy it. If it's going to hurt your budget have restrant. Buying fish is addictive so think about it. $175.00 is alot of money. That's my 2 cents. Now it's only 174.98;)
