I want to make an amazon river tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Go with:

8 angels
18 cories (You could go with far more..:D)
24 cardinals
and 24 other SMALL amazonian shoaler :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

some discus with heavily heavily planted surroundings and lots of driftwood!!!!

If you want a true river type aquarium, lots of rocks, and some of the faster type of tetras or something similar. If you just want an amazon biotope, just research those on the web and pick what you want. Stream type tanks are very specialized, check out some of the tanks at www.nanfa.org. Those are native tanks, but the idea is the same.

I think what i am trying to say from all these pictures is that Wood , rocks and alot of tall grass like plants aswel as a few small bushy plants for the front of the tank would make a great river tank , plus with fast flowing water would be a nice touch .

Too much fast flowing water will wave the plants all over the tank.....I keep the water flow to the minumum in planted tanks...
