Yes you can use it if you have the room.

Use 2" Styrofoam insulation under it, just cut to fit.

The filter/pump that come with them won't last as they're not made for 24/7/365 usage & they don't tolerate head pressure. Good for some intermittent circulation tho.

Heating will be another concern.

And possibly humidity.

Plan the install for a large sump (or multiples, linked together) You can use 30g - 55g plastic drums.

I take it you say the styrofoam so the bottom of the basement doesnt cool the pool, also how would I heat it....couple 300W heaters?

Could I get a dehidifyer to take care of humidity...

If you guys think there is a better cheap idea to house my huge cats..(has to be 1000+ Gallons and indoor) let me know,. I have time before they need to be taken out of my 225

if your Cats get spooked from anything, and they are close to the sides....they might puncture the lining. but it might work. just IMO.

It has a thick PVC lining.....I don't think they will get through that.
But when I buy one I'll make sure its a pretty thick pvc liner that they cant puncture.

Just get one. Then post the pic's. I wish I had a basement. They don't really make basements on the west coast.
