I WILL NEVER BUY FROM PETCO AGAIN

Went to Petco the other day, and a girl who had no idea what she was doing bought a 2.5 gallon tank, no filter or ne thing to keep fish in...
She bought the tank a plant, and 3 fish...the guy sold her a saltwater fish with the two other ones without even asking if she knew what she was doing...

the petco by me doesnt like me goin in there no more, they were tryin to talk some guy into buyin fish, he had no idea what he was doing and neither did they, I simply informed him that his pacus would out grow the 10 gal tank he was buyin and that he might want to do some research or start with some very basic fish for a while. He thanked me and left, the store asked me to leave. Oh well they didnt have much of a selection anyways
That sucks! Both times there has been ICH here it came from PETCO...
Since no one else has said it... ALWAYS QUARANTINE ALL NEW FISH! Doesn`t matter who or where they come from. A 10 or 20 gallon QT tank is a lot cheaper than dealing with who knows what
.... run a small filter on your main tank just so you have a cycled one to go on the QT.

I agree this is a must. In the case of this angel fish disease, for me even a three week quarantine did not help.

i never shop at walmart or petco or any chain stores that sell other kinds of animals cuz they just want to rip u off and take ur money not to mention that they dont take care of there fish for *****
why would you go to petco for fish in the first place?
they have a good selection of equipment and at good prices but their tanks are just horrible (around here anyway) ther fish section is like this big I-----I and all of them are like half dead when you buy them.
they (and petsmart and similar chains) lost my business a LONG time ago.

(no offence to anyone that works there but i bet your knowlede didn't come from job oreintation, you actually CARE about fish)
