So, I moved out of my house about 2 months ago. My mom just got a phone call at the house saying that I was picked as a winner for a 2009 Lincoln Navigator. The lady calling said that I filed out a form around a year and a half ago at a Home Depot.
Mom called me, and gave me the lady's name and number. I call her up, with my laptop next to me.
She starts off her speech, congratulating me, and said she "just needed to verify some information." I cut her off, and asked who the company was again. She said "CM Awards." Asking her for a website, she said they didnt have one, since they are sponsored by "Sunshine Promotions."
I was furiously doing a google search at the same time, and found what I suspected: Sunshine Promotions is a scam. (Surprise surprise, my jaw dropped. [/sarcasm])
I am 22, almost 23. She told me "It says here, your age is between 28 and 70, is this correct?" I told her no, and she (of course) asked for my real birthdate.
I was EXTREMELY tempted to mess with her (and looking back, I should have), but no, like an idiot, I told her that I am reading online about Sunshine Promotions, and that it is a scam.
Her reaction: "uh, um...." *click*
Sigh, missed opportunities. I have nothing to do today....I could have chewed up like 4 hours of her time messing with her. But noooooo.
