$1,164.86 a year or 3.20 a day.

This is how much it costs to run my power and do water changes for my fish a year. This figure doesn't include purchasing the fish or the supplies.

It's about $90/month. Is this just for the tank or the whole house? What type of equipment are you running and how many? Seems like it is alot.

Just for my fish tanks like I said above.

pumps, heaters, water changes. 450 gallons at .90 a CCF and .496 KW at 0.11857 per KWH a month.

Most of the cost is for the water with 649.68.

The price is based on my electric and water rates as of this month, even though there is a large hydroelectric damn less than 200 miles away from me.

Its more expensive than most people think; most of the electricity is by running the pumps 24/7, and heating the tank. The water is inexpensive 95% of my monthly running cost is on electricity.
I pay about £35/month for and FX5, an eheim Pro 3, 108W lighting 8.5 hours a day, 2x 300W heaters, and a few others (but the ones listed are the main contributors to the bill). Roughly 250 gallons of water is replaced each month costing £<10.

749.39 is the new cost since I don't need to run my heaters anyways.

Please check my math.

.096KW an hour at 0.11857 cents an hour
450 U.S. gallons at 0.90 cents per CCF
