ICE FISHING

Went fishing today .Got up at 4. am and drove to the pike hot spot.Froze my *** off . It was 6 deg. out when we got there. The wind was blowing 15 to 25. Had a good day, some nice LMB and yellow perch. The fish of the day was a fat 10lb. pike caught by my buddy Russ . He got the pict. so I will try to get them up......

You can catch some really nice pike through the ice, you just have to decide if the pain is worth the reward.

Was the pike caugth on a tip-up or by rod and reel.

It was caught on a tip-up. The place was in Concord MA. on a river. Some one else got a 5lb. pike today and yesterday a 7lb. and a 14lb. was caught.

Sick.. Wish i knew the spot...I usually just go for bass, not too many pike in this neck of the woods...

The state is doing a great job on pike stocking. They are spawing on there own now.

I have never caught a LMB through the ice. Was it a good fight?

Yeah we get pretty big pike and walleye threw the ice around here some monster walleyes though 10 pounders alot same as with pike monsters.

LMB fight and run great below the ice.A big one will give you a little line burn sometimes when they make a strong run. I never caught a walleye but allways wanted too. Some day
