nope Breeding not my thing on any animal i have owned .. and far too few gennet breeders around less than 20 U.S. wide brought her from julies jungle http://www.juliesjungle.com/ she offered me her bother for half off when i brought her but 2K was enough for me ! think 4 or 5 years ago julie stop breeding them as well .. if i were going to breed anything would have been fennec foxes back when i got icess my gennet they were only $400 from julies jungle now look and 10 years later there 2 grand a pup ... o well

Icess is a small spot Gennet that i have had since she was 7 weeks old and she just turned 10 years old in august . She been a challenge is some ways and a-lot of fun in others ways over the years. Not a whole lot of them around she like a cat on crack is best way to describe her she sleeps 12 to 16 hours a day but when she's active she can literally run across the wall ... well enough talkie on with a few pic's ....

Awesome dude. She is pretty

When she was young she was very curious and that best time to socialize and keep them socialized is the key with Gennets she is now very aloof will only come out for me .. she use to love brother and uncle they stopped coming around and now she just stays a the top of her cage and looks at people .. My nephew is a month older than her and my niece was only 5 when i got her . first way when knew she was ready for solid food was she took a KFC drumstick out of my nieces hands ! lol ! she was never aggressive in that way sometimes way overly playful and sometimes touch me not personality .. They are know to be very shy by nature and she holds true to that they can be socialized and get along great with other animals as long as it done early on in there life ..

Her Current enclosure modified Giant Bird Cage ...

youuu should reconsider breeding haha, I've wanted one of these guys for a while. Had to settle for cat snakes instead... (ferrets lol)

Gennets are in the Viverridae family they bridge the gap between weasel family and feline family there are 14 types of gennets 2 aquatic subspecies , prairie dogs , meerkats, and binturong (Bearcats) largest memeber are all in her family, she has scent glands on the side of her face and one above her anus males its strong females have no odor ... There exotic but have been domesticated for over 500 years in small pockets around morocco and a few other places (sadly because they use to use their scent glad to make perfumes from)... Egyptians started domesticating them during the time of the pyramids but found cats were better rodent hunters and decided to switch to them ...

On breeding thing i passed and with good reason i got her at 7 weeks and had to feed her every 2 hours around the clock and stimulate her to pee and poop and took a while before she was fully weaned plus only time she made any real noise was when she was hungry when she was a baby it was shrill like nothing i every heard before i wish i recorded it so others could here .When i picked her up from the airport you could hear her 300 feet away (2 hours late for her last bottle feeding) .. I originally wanted a Serval I still do but Julie's a USDA licensed breeder made you check your state, city, and municipal code exotic animal laws fax it to her before she would send you a price list to make sure whatever you were interested in was legal to sale to you (which is very good and i loved how much she really cares about every animal she sales definately just not about the money for her).. at that time she breed about 25 different types of exotics . Sure enough servals and anything bobcats size was illegal so looked for other animals she sold that i might be interested in that were legal came down to two animals a kinkajous and gennets kinkajous have only one big issue for me they are fruit eaters and they power squirt out everything they eat from other end 10 years of cleaning up poop spray across a wall that was a no- no .. joined a yahoo gennet forum for about 14 months before i finally decided to buy one ..
