I need help ASAP my I.d. Sharks have Insain ich. It started with the big one then spread to the smaller one I bought medicine for them and it said it would take 2 days to heal and it's been 4 days and it's gotten worse the temp has been at 87 and no carbon filter. I think they have protozoan fin damage also. I need them to live I need help!!!!! Here is pics of them.

if the temperature is that high the ich wont reproduce. whats happening to their fins is probably damage from removing the carbon. Your filter probably relied on it for some extra filtration so there may be ammonia in the tank, just change water and add some salt to help them, they should be fine. make sure you add oxygen with a bubble or drop the water level on your tank a bit.

Thanks a lot should I do water change and stop the treatment but keep temp at 87 and how much salt per gallon for I'd sharks? Thanks

+1 IMO.... Spot on with what I'd say.

Maybe prime as well? To help detoxify ammonia.

alright i got it i just have one more question. Do i still use the medicine on them or just raise temp, water change and put salt. yet no one tells me how much salt and is this fin damage a seperate issue or will the fins heal when carbon filter is added?

Just raise the temp, cross your fingers, and wait it out. Don't worry about meds and salts. Especially with catfish.

dont med them, i wouldnt even salt the tank maybe, increase in temp and wait it out if they arent dead now they probably wont die, and fins heal back.
