Ich Help Urgent!!!! Please help!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sure, if the filtration, temperature, etc equipment all works then yeh, they can do very well and live good lives in an environment that they certainly didnt evolve to be in. But the fact that they are depending on that proper functioning equipment to live is by definition life support. When I go scuba diving for 45 minutes and have gear that allows me to maintain my body temp, breath and see underwater then I am on life support in an aquatic environment that i couldnt otherwise be in. An aquarium is the same thing allowing fish to stay indoors.

We'll agree to disagree! :)

Didn't u notice... That's not my hospital tank that's my main tank... Fail comment

Well that's good if you never had Ich in the main tank. The concern is valid though if any of the previously infected fish were ever in the main tank. I think that was the assumption.

Imagine the power goes out in the winter for a week with no battery backup or generator. Life support eventually fails and the fish go to heaven. (Only if they have been good) LOL.

Yeh, I'm still laughing at the thought of a fish NOT on life support. It would have it's own little backpack on that it takes with it when it goes out of the tank for food.. has it's own heater, light and bubbler built in to it's anatomy.. Of course it would vacuum the substrate as needed, also does water chemistry testing and water changes etc.. LOL. Now THAT would be a cool fish.
