my pbass is developing ich i can see it on his fins and some on the body, but hes the only one that has it.. the school of 4 clown loaches are ichless and i thought they would be more vulnerable.

i have increased the temp up to 85ish 86 and put a good dosage of aquarium salt. but doesnt seem like its done much. should i go ahead and rely on meds?

help please.

I crank mine to 90 and add salt.... I have never had any problems after I did that...

I guess you could try meds...

how long has it been now that they have had it and how long has it been since u have raised the temp and added salt? usually raiseing temp gradually and adding salt works for me, it wont go away over nite tho. i usually had salt every time i do water changes, just a littleand i never had any motre ich probs again.

raising the temp speeds up the life cycle of the parasite it will get worse before it gets better just be patient the heat and salt method has never failed me yet

How bad is it?

If it isn't too bad just keep the temp up and treating with salt.

It should go away. Just make sure you get on top of it before it gets worse.

Still getting worse?

Or any sign of improvement?

Young pbass are very prone to get ich.... Thats why high temps and salt are recommended..
