So I’ve got ich. Fantastic. Anyone have heater suggestions for a 55? My current ones can’t seem to get it over 81 degrees . I was looking at the 300w Jager Trutemp, but the reviews say that it’s very difficult to calibrate and I need something that will work as quickly as possible.

Edit: My current heaters are a very old Pro-Heat 350w that doesn’t seem to heat as much as it used to, and an equally old generic glass 50w that I threw on there when the Pro-Heat wasn’t up for the job. This was never previously an issue because the Pro-Heat keeps things a balmy 80 degrees with no trouble.

I'd add 1.5 lbs of rock salt and leave the heat as is.
The osmotic pressure of the salt will implode the new icl as they hatch off the fish.
Supposedly the medication I’m using isn’t compatible with salt, unfortunately.

The medication should work without raising the temp, it will just take longer.
Raising the temp, increases the generational life cycle of ick, so the medication has a chance to work faster as new ick hatch off the fish.
The reason I suggested salt, is because you didn't mention the use of a medication, and my preferred med against ick, is salt
