It didn't look like ich to me either. I was sure it was epistylis because of the granular like appearance. Plus again the shop stock was good and mine was good so. Apparently ich doesn't effect shrimp, buy I was told they can carry it. The ich Attack cleared it up. No more spots for a while now. Iv stopped treatment. All my fry survived. All my shrimp survived. I lost a few female guppys. What ever it was it definitely looked different than the ich spots iv seen and treated on my tetras. I'm any case. Treatment was 1 table spoon of salt per 10 gallons in the shrimp tank. ( I dosed heavier when I finally separated the guppies) and ich attack with very early detection. Iv got shrimplets, fry and none of my plants where harmed. Kept the temperature steady at 25.5 Celsius.
