I have been moving my loaches from the 150 to the 55 and i just finished. About half way through the move all my clown loaches broke out in ich, the ones in the 55 AND the 150. none of my african cichlids got it, my 3 yoyos dont have it, the eel, catfish and border loach in the 55 dont have it. but all 8 of my CL do. they dont just have a few dots, they look like they rolled around in margarita salt! Why do CLs get ich so easily? im just fascinated at how badly they got in in 3 days and no one else is even scratching

They are more susceptible because of their lack of large scales.

I have 14 fish in my 55g and none of them have scales. 8cl, 3 yoyo, 1 border, 1 catfish and 1 eel. only the 8 cl have ich

Used to have ich with my own loach tank. Only clowns, severums and silver dollars got it. The rest including the yoyos didn't. It is obvious that anyone who got ich stuck under their epidermis is stressed from several factors. Yoyos are not easily stressed at all compared to the clown loaches. I simply treated mine with table salt dissolved first, of course, before adding.;)

qua tine the loach and use 1\2 the dosages required.

Quarantine the loaches? That is adding too much stress. Treating the two tanks is the solution here. Ich is already introduced in both tanks.

i know how to treat ich, i was just expressing how easily clowns get it compared to other loaches and scaless fish
