Ick but its not

Fish has been in tank more then 3 months. Was quarantine for a week. Checked ammonia, no trace. Not ich, i seen early stages of ich infection before. Tank set a year ago, 75 gal, sand/filter/heater/bubbler same day, like i said 3 months, quarantine for a week, 2 days ago/ sluggish saw near surface, all are starting to "scratch" themselves on sand/ less movement/ all fish/ 2 oscars, 2 marble, 1 ornate and 1 channel, same time giraffe. 2 days ago, 2 days ago.

Would just make sure ur test kit is accurate. As a 75g with those fish is a bit small (or atleast eventually if small fish) but I would assume there should be a spike in one of ur parameters.

Sounds like it might be ick. This is my suggestion so you can get some help. Let the fish vet chime in Charney Charney .

Anyway, would add salt and heat to the tank for now. 1tsp per gallon and increase the heat till 89 degrees. A degree an hour.

After initial salt treatment and doing well....again add another 1 tsp per gallon in 12 hrs . Then check fish if doing well then add another round of 1tsp per gallon of salt. This should be a total of 3 tsp per gallon.

If a wc need suggest 50% wc and replace the amount needed to get a total of 3tsp per gallon. So 75g needs 112tsp replaced with a 50% water change.

If any of the fish act strange from the salt then do a wc asap.

Gotta keep this for 7-10 days and when spots disappear then continue for another 10 days to ensure clearance.

Add a powerhead or pump to promote oxygen in the water.

Don't take what drstrangelove and duanes as ridicule. I've learned quite a lot from them. They'll teach you something.

Good luck with ur fish and tank.

My post was directed towards duanes comment because from my understanding on his reply was, keeping a healthy person with a sick person will eventually get sick, is what i perceived from his post. Although i didn't mean to sound mean or anything, he still took the time to reply and I am thankful that he still replied. And I am pretty sure you all are better fish keepers then I, i am no beginner nor am a decent fish keeper at all, but was just feeling stressed and angered from my fishes health and what I could have done wrong. Meant no anger to anyone here. I appreciate the comments.
