The large clown loach in my tank has broken out with ick, and I want to know what is safe to treat the whole tank with before I put my ray at risk

help plz =]

heat and salt...

clown loach appears to have broken out very badly overnight. didnt notice any spots and he is completely covered..i dont want this to spread..

my tank is already 82 degrees and having a hard time getting it hotter

not to mention salt will mess up my plants

If you are having problems getting your tank hotter than 82, chances are
you don't have enough wattage on your heater. You should have
3-5 watts per gallon. That or your heater is not working properly.
Add a second heater, this is a good idea anyways in case one goes
out then you have a backup already in place.;)

in adequate heater or malfunctioning heater could have contributed to the ICK. Prefer treating w salt and heat, gove move putting him in Quarantine tank, be sure to provide plently of aeration

once you can see the ich... its already spreading around the tank so theres no real point in removing anyone from the tank...

Yep. Treat all fish in the main tank. Ich is already spreading as low level infection for some fish.
