Ick medicine that is safe for stingrays?

I will treat the tank stilll....but I figured removing him and doing a water change wouldn't hurt...

Will try to locate paraguard tomorrow to treat the tank with...
 
No, moving a fish causes further stress. That was unnecessary.
 
heat and salt dosent do that much against ich.

the heat speeds up the life cycle and the salt helps with the stress of the fish.
if its worked for you in the past then thats because the fish managed to fight the infection its self.

once you get the treatment dose the tank and then turn up the heat. trestment only works when the white spot is free swimming looking for a host. speeding up the life cycle means there is more chance of the ich being free swimming as it drops off the fish quicker to re start the cycle.

turn off your lights, this makes it harder for the ich to find a host fish as they are drawn to the light.

do a water change just before you start treatment,dont do any water changes while useing teh treatment. once its finished then restart your waterchanges.

make sure you clean any nets or equipment thats been used in the tank as there is the slightest chance you could re infect the tank if the net is still wet from last time it was used then is placed back in the tank.
