Ick outbreak!!!

I think not putting the new fish in quarantine was the problem. I never do and never had a problem till now. Lesson learned!!! So i should a 10 gallon setup just for quarantine new fish??? How long should they be kept separate??? Should the quarantine tank be treated in any way or just a regular setup???

regular setup w/ maybe a shorter or no lite cycle if no fish. U can use seeded filter pads or bio from ur other tanks. Around a month is ok 4-6 weeks ideally tho aslong as tank is cycled (no amm/nitrite) that way if the fish shows no signs of sickness or parasites its good to go 100%!
