raise the temp in the tank to about 84 85 then add some salt treat it this way for atleast ten days use about one table spoon of salt per 5 gallons don't do any water changes for the full ten days

no they will be ok

I use a bit more aquarium salt, 2 teaspoons ger gallon @85-86 degrees F, dissolve it in water then pour it in, and as eh1421 says treat for at least 10 days, the first couple days it will look worse then taper off, after about 6-7 days it will look clear but there will still be unhatched ick in the substrate so dn't stop treatment until the full 10 days has passed. The fish you mentioned wshould have no problems with salt at that level. You can add an airstone or small powerhead to get more surface motion during treatment as heat and salt slightly lower the O2 levels.

guppy is the man

What catfish do you have? Plecos, bagridae, aridae, and syndontus tolerate it, corys are salt sensitive, pims require a little less salt, maybe 1 teaspoon per gallon.
