I seem to be having a problem in my tanks lately with ick.
This is how my brown Knifefish died.
I am trying the medication and work with poly when it was sick but now my other fish in the fake tank are all sick. See signature for fish.
Oscar seem to be the worst.
I don't feel save using the salt method.
I did read the sticky.
What should I do.

Fish below seem to have it.
Ones with star next to it have very little if helpful.
Tiger Oscar is covered completely.

Angelfish*
Ropefish*
1 Tiger Loach*

confused, lost, and lonely
All of those fish will tolerate the salt and heat method.

Heat (86)...and salt.... (1 tablespoon per every 5 gallons, predisolved) is the best and safest methoud for your fish. The meds sold for the treatment of Ich are hard on your filters and can even effect your BB (benificial bacteria) levels.

The is a a VERY low concentration of salt by the way. We're not recomending brackish conditions here.

Once the outbreak is under control, you can reduce the salt content through normal water changes.
