Ok well to start i own a small Aquatic pet store, all my tanks are on independent systems and water, All my fish are ordered from the same wholesale company... well today i looked in 3 of my freshwater tanks and noticed that fish in all 3 tanks have what appears to be the first stage of Ick(small white Dots)....

tank 1:
10 Neon Tetra's all with spots
2 Small Common Pleco's No spots
2 3" Siamese Algae eaters no spots
1 1" Bumble Bee Goby no spots

Tank 2
45 Clown Loachs all with Spots
3 Small Common Pleco's no spots
2 Demasoni Cichlids no spots
1 small Tiger Oscar no spots

Tank 3
15 Green Tiger Barbs all with spots
10 Tiger Barbs all with spots
1 small Common Pleco no spots

I pulled the 3 plecos, 2 cichlids and the tiger oscar and put them in tank one to be treated with API Super Ick Cure
Tank 1 and 3 both are being treated with API Super Ick Cure

Tank 2 i am raising the temp slowly and adding Aquarium Salt for the Loach's

My question is what about treating with QUININE SULFATE or Dy-Lox 80

And is there any good commercial treatments that i can keep in my tanks at all times?

Any advice would be a great help

Sounds like you're on the right track keeping the meds away from the Loaches. Many people feel differently than I do, but I have been using CopperSafe in my Loach tanks for well over a year now with no side effects & no new ick. Of course, I'm not running a shop, so I dont have nearly the financial risk you probably do. Do plenty of research & consider it carefully before pulling the trigger, but I can tell you the CL's will have no ill effects & if you sell them out of a CL-only tank (like you should), that tank will be able to take in new CL's anytime without spreading the ick that is ALWAYS attached to them on arrival. Here is a link to the thread I started about it so you can get some info:

Tank 1 and 2 look strong... Tank 3 looks bad... lost 2 tiger Barbs and 3 Green tiger barbs this morning...

My question is what about treating with QUININE SULFATE or Dy-Lox 80

Day 3, and tank 3 is still taking casualties... Tiger Barbs, and Green Tiger Barbs....

In tank 2 the Clown Loachs, are still alive and active, but the spots are still there, they move so much so i cant really tell if there getting better...

Tank 1 had one loss, My Bumble Bee Goby, Died from Catfish hunger! Yep my baby Tiger Shovelnose Catfish had him for dinner... but Ick is still present in the tank, but the Neon Tetras look better... Still would like some information on QUININE SULFATE or Dy-Lox 80... Any body ever used it before?

Ok the Loachs are not looking to good, non-active, and sitting close to the surface of the water.

OK so i just did a 40% water change, and increased the temp from 78 degrees to 88 degrees, yes i know this is stressful on the loachs, but Time is running low on who long the might make it... Also added More salt, added another power head and air pump to increase air in the high temp water... Any thing else i might try? 45 clown loachs is a lot to lose to Ick.... any help please....

Ya mu lfs and wally world didn't carry it, ordered a gallon of the net, but it wont be here for 3 more days... well did get some info on Ick, was told if temps above 86 degrees will more then likely kill Ick... So safely i have got my tank to 92 degrees and my loachs are all still active, was told to keep that temp for 24 hours then reduce it to 86 degrees of a few days and wait the out come... Also running high levels of salt, to kill any free floating Ick spores...

The heat just speeds up their life cycle I think, causing them to go free-floating quicker, which allows the salt to kill them. I'm a bit rusty on that since I haven't had to deal with it in so long, but I dont think the heat kills them directly... I know their free-floating stage is the only point where they're vulnerable.

EDIT: I'm not sure if there are any interractions from the salt & copper together, so I would probably keep the heat up & ramp down on the salt before dosing the copper.

ok tank 3 is dead, lost all the barbs... :( gave it my best.... Loach tank seems to be doing good, still got spots, but all are stong and active still.... tank one looks like its recovering, looks like i have some ProForm-C coming, so i will do a major water change when that gets here and retreat the tank...
