so im goin on about a week 1/2 at hyposalinity. I should be ok to start raising it back up after another couple weeks right? And while im askin, whats a safe range of raising it back up over time. I have no invert or corals, just fish.

I wouldn't lower the salinity that low enless I had a refratometer, hydrometers arn't as accurate and you have a chance of taking the salinity down to dangerous levels. Cleaner shrimp work great, I have heard good things about the uv but don't personally have one. Since you already lowered it raise your salt level slowly over time, take your tank water and mix in salt. I would mix in 1/4 cup in at a time and do it again in few hours but I don't know how big your tank is. I would raise it slow over time, because I have made the mistake of raising to quickly and acclimating to fast.

yeah, i was plannin on raising it like: First week 1.009 to say 1.012 2nd week 1.012 to like 1.015 and so on. Just wanted to see what ppl had as far as input in numbers .

You could probably raise it up faster than that. I would raise it back up over the course of a week. Maybe mix in a 1/4 cup every few hours or so, but your level is pretty low. I'm not sure I never took my salt level so low. Do what your doing, but I think they can adjust to change faster than .003 a week. I have a cleaner shrimp and the other time one of my clowns had a little bit of ick, and it recovered. (I was lucky) Good luck man, hope your fish get back to norm soon!

^^thanks, so far so good. Ive had no signs of ick since the day i took it down. Fish are eating well and have actually brighten in color since ive started hypo.
