Ick

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Id keep them where they are, turn heat up to 84-86, add some aquarium salt, remove carbon, treat lightly for 1-2week with frequent water changes, and lots of gravel vacing

There are several treatments for ick. I agree with raising the heat slowly and dosing with salt. You can google the treatments and decide for yourself. :naughty:

if you move the fish you will be moving the parasite/disease to the other tank too. what was the medication you used?

It looks like ick ... I looked it up! But would it be safe to put the remaining fish in my other tank and clean the tank they r in completely?

You say it looks like ick but you also say its fuzzy. Ick is not fuzzy but fungus is. I think the reason you lost them is because you used meds they didn't need and it stressed them. Find out *exactly* what it is first then go from there. Don't move the fish. And find out the name of the meds you used. Test your water parameters to find out why they're having problems.
