ID and how much is this worth???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Kamfa type....maybe Red Shock, Red Monkey, or Super Red Shock....but definitely a kamfa. For that condition and that monster size body and KOK, I would say priceless. Your friend should keep it. That strain is rare nowadays.

Not happening, they sterile bro.

JP

yeah...as of now its still sterile. He's tried breeding it with a kkp 2 times already, and eggs came out white. He's gonna keep trying, do you think it will ever be fertile?

WOW............I just can't believe no one could ID this fish until now.......:(

This fish is a RM(Red Monkey) AKA SRS(Super red shock). It's catogorized under "kamfas" and this one seem like a A+ quality! When he's under right care, his color will richen and also have bigger KOK than already is now.

If you can get this one, get it! Any price is fair under $600 imo.

JP

thanks for a id. I thought it wasn't a midas/rd... I really like it, but I want to breed instead of just have a showpiece.

Pretty sure that's a "no unless there's a miracle.." but I'll let JP have the final say..

And we were talking about it today and I agree. Fertile or not if you can afford it and get him to sell it to you I'd buy it. Unless your friend knows what he's got(he doesn't) then chances are it's worth alot more than you're gonna be able to buy it for.

If its not fertile now it can never be fertile!
well not entirely true when people said it 99% not fertile so not true.the fish will fertile but very rarely lmao .i mean if you are lucky you will get it to fertile on the egg!!!.the chances have to meet at the same time when the egg and the sperm of the fish are being fertile at the sametime.wht the male it fertile and there is no egg, there is no way of knowing if the male it fertile or not.

there have been a few times where males were sterile...but became fertile as it aged. That fish is only 1 1/2-2 years old right now. Hopefully, it will be fertile.
