looking for an ID on these guys.
also,max size?growth rate?breeding?
i think the smaller, pinkish one is a female and the larger specklier one is the male.correct?
they were the two dominant ones in their tank in the fish farm.
always hung out together so i got them both.
will they kill my other fish out of aggression?not as food...
2 minutes in the tank and the larger one starts flaring at the bass and oscar and the smaller one just follows him around.
the oscar shows them whose boss though...
then they pick out a nice spot for themselves under the driftwood and kick the acaras out...
then they start exploring the tank and eating krill.
they still stay around their piece of driftwood which im hoping they will spawn in IF they are a pair...
thanks for all the help.

You have a pair of Crenicichla lepidota. The one with red and white in the dorsal and little to no spangles is the female. WHERE DID YOU FIND THESE!!!!???

Man, congrats! Are there any left? How big are they?

yes there are some left.
there are 3 tanks with them.
2 of the tanks only contain one pair each.
those have no price on them.
the 3rd tank has like...6 of them i think.
these two were the dominant ones and all the others were beat up in the corner.they looked terrible.

Those Aren't Lepidota but they are some kind of Saxatilis i hate trying to ID them though

I'll Try to ID i later though

They are a Brazilian strain of Saxatalis. And yes you have a pair, saxatalis are some of the eaiser pikes to bred. Ken
