Hi to all bichir hobbyists here:) Here are some pics of my new bichir that I acquired recently, at around 3~4" currently. Can I know whether it's WC or CB? Thanks a lot:D

don't believe you can tell unless you can determine the source (either from the previous owner or the lfs)? i'm not too sure but that's what i've been told numerous times.

Looks CB.

From what I've seen, WC dels tend to have solid stripe patterns, CB dels have more scattered patterning, which makes me think the OP's fish is a CB delhezi.

While it's true that CB fish are resembling WC more and more, you can still tell if you know what to look for.

This is a CB fish.

Thanks a lot, guys. I knew it from the start, but the true intention of me starting this thread is to prove something to someone =)

By the way guys, can you give me a general pattern to look out for in WC dels? Is it through that WC dels usually have well defined stripes right across their body while CB del patterns are usually more scattered? Like my CB del, the upper part of its pattern is more defined but the lower part is more scattered, like a royal tiger band del?
