Just picked him up at a lfs. He's about 2.5 in. What do you guys think? And what can I do to make the color come out?

I'm glad he's not a terror. I was looking at Google pics of blue acaras and he doesn't look exactly like those pictures.
Yeah, I cant tell you if he is acara or not... But I can tell you That looks NOTHING like a green terror... Head shape, body shape, patterns, color, etc. just google juvenile green terror you will see what I mean.

Looks like a Burjurquina the way the line heads in the direction of the dorsal insertion, the line fades before it gets there so can't tell if it continues to the caudal spot (Cichlasoma) or to where the dorsal fin ends (Burjurquina).
Just Googled Burjurquina. It kind of looks like that. I can't find much info on it. Could someone post a link or give me some info on it? And a pic from behind. Hopefully it helps
It's hard to see, but is the tail tinted orange on the end? My BA's looked just like this when they first came in for the first week or so. In fact I have 2 that havent grown as fast that still look exactly like that. I'll see if I can find an older pic I took or grab a new one of them.
