It's probably one of our PetSmart ID sharks. Those ones only get 8-12 inches.

it was a drop off at a LFS, we took it because we had the room in our pond

to me it lookes like an iridescent shark/ pangasius catfish which can get to 4 ft in like a pond so wouldn't be suprised but the rounded tail fin any chance it was put with some fin nippers like tiger babs perhaps..gl

ID Shark for sure. I just looked at the tail of my ID and Paroon. ID has rounded out with age and size. Plus a Paroon had tips that extend beyond the fins. I would love to live in a climate with an outdoor pond for ID's. Im jealous. The basement only has so much room for office and pond #1.
