can someone confirm whether this is a Pleuro? it was sold as a two-spotted snakehead, but i'm sure theres no such thing.

weird, i thought the Pleuro's were referred to as the three spot

Congrats on your new pickup, Chizzow! :clap Already could see a little bluish/green hue on the body... and that's thru the bag! Amazing fish they seem to be... i can only imagine?!! hope you enjoy!

2 spot, 3 spot, eye spot, all crappy common names that confuse the fact that it's a channa Pleuropthalma

I hope you enjoy your fish, I know you will.

Btw, everything that WLR said... I agree! Lol! Damn crumby common names!! :shakehead

thanks everyone for their input. I just noticed a dull third spot form on one of its sides today, so I guess the number of spots doesn't really matter.

Now my question is, can they be visually sexed like some of the other snakeheads? I'm thinking of picking up a couple more since their about $8 each, and are super rare in my area :)

Also, how large do they get in captivity since 14" seems to be from the wild.

niceeeeee pick up. i agree with what everyone says mos def a pleuro. Keep us updated on its growth. Not many members on MFK have one. So it'll be interesting watching its grwowth. :)
