Id cichlid help

Thank you guys so much, I appreciate it.
I am probably going to look into the specific species and check out it's full size and such. It seems like it is Gymnogeophagus meridionalis, which get around 4-5 inches. Anyways, I'm hoping to figure out if it is male or female and try to pair them. Anyone know how to tell the differences between the sexes?

What I learned about my geo. Surinamensis is that the males tend to have extended dorsal streamers plus a few other little traits that I can't recall as I worked from 9am yesterday until 6am today haha

Ok, thank you, and that's quite the work day
Do you know if color plays any role in male/female because mine has lots of "electric blue" specs around it's eye and blue and pink stripes down it's body. Sometimes it also displays a black spot on it's back/body.
