This is my second ID thread I have posted on this fish, and at first it seemed just to be a firemouth, but after an update people seemed to think ellioti or some other Thorichthys Sp. I personally think it is a juvie ellioti but let's hear some other opinions! Notice the orange on the belly. This fish is quite interesting, it seems like a bully but is all show and just chases other fish, and also always first on the food. Also it is growing quite fast, probably grew .5 inch-1 inch already.

Here's when I first got it, and also pics from tonight.

To me it looks like an amph. Longamannis. reasons being they are so similar to the regular firemouth they are sometimes called the pink firemouth, or firebelly. Still this could quite possibly turn out to be an elioti but where im from that would be one in a million[h=1][/h]

Im almost 100% not an A. longimanus, those don't have the two prominant spots that this guy obviosly has. And I would be quite happy if it was a T. ellioti, I bought it for 2.99 out of a hole in the wall lfs haha.

people will say it looks like a firemouth because it does.... just like all of the closely related thoricthys species.
It's quite obviously not a firemouth it looks like all the small Ellioti I've seen for sale. theres always a chance it could be half firemouth and half Elioti but wouldnt it have more firemouthy colours if it were?
