ID endli location

Just my 2 yens worth here, but the reason Tikinso and Guinea may look similar is because its just a catch location.
many (if not all?) catch locations in Guinea are joined in some way most are tributaries of the river Niger.
Bichirs do move around and migrate.

So you buy a "Tikinso" Endli. Was it born and grew up in the location it was caught at? Or is it an Endlicheri that was spawned, and grew up in another location and migrated?

Your adult female Tikinso Endli that you just paid a premium for, could that have been an Endlicheri from elsewhere that has migrated to a smaller shallower tributary of the Niger river to breed like they DO?

This is the reason here in Japan a Guinea Endlicheri is called a "Guinea Endlicheri" no matter where in Guinea it was caught.
Sure sellers here will provide the catch location if they have it, but the price would not be any different.
I try not to comment when people expect a "new" looking fish because it has a catch location added to it's name, as sometimes people get defensive about their purchase.

So anyway, just something to think about.

Thanks TGM :) I know the second endli is from around guinea and I dont really care where in guinea its from anymore :P But the first endli I like to know because it looks interesting, I wont get defensive because I traded these 2 fishes for my large male with a friend and he just told me they where 2 WC and one was bought as a golden endli. I just like to know where its from to put a name on it and because I want to learn about my fishes. But if its CB I will accept that but I would like someone elses input on that because it sure doesnt look CB except on head shape.

So endli 1 is a high quality CB?

Base on just the head shape and cheek markings, imo it's a CB endi.

Cool, gotta be some damn nice parents :P She looks alot more WC than my other CB

Just read about a Japan golden breed, could this be one of these? Im pretty sure the guy I got this from said the guy before him purchased this as a golden endlicheri

Both appear to be Guinea variants of Endlicheri. As Mike suggested, possibly from Tinkisso river.
To date, there are 2 notable collection locales for Guinea Endlis----Tinkisso River/Dabola area, Faranah (Niger River)
