Yes I agree with MN_Rebel I doubt this "Monsterfish" is causing the death of your guppies... You never know tho, it is possible as you mentioned it does have teeth !!

You know. With the new pic I'm not so sure on congo.

This fish has the eyes place different and they're much larger. It also has a black stripe on the belly. Also a black edge to the dorsal fin (hmmm maybe that's part of the plant can't tell, but the belly stripe is there)

I need to do some further looking.
