Thanks,

I know there are so many grades. I picked this up from my supplier the other day. Thinking about selling it but really need to make room for something more interesting I'm getting in.

This guy cost me an arm and a leg, so I was just making sure he was worth it.

It does help, I'm just looking for a positive ID

Well, actually how long have you had this fish for in your possession? What size tank is he in, and what are his tank mates?(I can already see other fish in with him which will actually bring down his head size)

I am asking because in the first picture, I can see that his head was actually much bigger but it just shrunk because it was stressed(from moving tanks and other tank mates especially females around and etc...)
So basically I am saying it might be a high grade ZZ just under stress.

Also, what is his diet consist of?

The day I posted this thread was the day I got the fish, so I'm sure stress has something to do with it. He looked nicer to me when I picked him up. Right now he seems really "light". The red isn't as red as it was and the blue is a bit lighter.

I do need to move this current tank mates (Uro, Red Head Cichlid, Red Snook, Datnoids, African Pike, Clown Loach). He is just chasing everybody around.

What do you suggest to feed him to make his colors come out more? You sound like you know what you're talking about so I appreciate any more thoughts or advice.

He is currently in a 150 gallon 60x24x24. Also you said you coud tell his head shrunk? I'd like to know how to identify that.

Thanks,
