Is this it the same species??....

I'm going to have to agree with ben on this one. That is pterodoras granulosus. I say this for a couple of reasons, while the resolution and quality are not so good that fish looks just like granulosus. Secondly i live in colorado and over the last year or so these fish have been all over the place. Almost as common as the spotted and striped raphaels.
 
Watch your temperature. Ive heard that they struggle with higher temps. Id try and keep the water around 78 if you dont already. I love these guys but have had terrible luck with them as of late. Good luck hope you get yours to truely monster size.
