10 gal would be more then enough wont jump out, there not hard to mate just make sure you have a pair (one has a white spot under one of its arms the other wont, dont remember which is which) they will eat their eggs though so you gotta check alot and seperate as soon as you find the eggs.

i researched this a while ago when my gf thought they were cute and i wanted to get her liking ampibians/reptiles for future pets(does that make me evil?) so i bought her two.

the mail will make faint croaking sounds from under the water its pretty cool

They wont jump out...the will CLIMB out;) Good mesh covering is a must. Dont use them as feeders, they make good desktop aquarium pets and are some of the easiest frogs to keep. Also they do have some skin toxins

these guys are a natural food source for poly's and especially ropefish

They look like African dwarf frogs to me. I have two in a 6 gallon tank.
They don't do much, they like to sit around mostly, but sometimes at
night you can here them make noises. I made the mistake of putting
them in a tall 30 gallon tank at first, and they had a hard time of getting
to the top for air, so I put them in a smaller tank with a few harlequins , 2 frogs and a couple of small shrimp. They are doing fine.
