Click to expand... this, exactly. i've kept the striped variety. they are very skittish, tend to smash into the sides of the tank for no reason at all and destroy their beaks...

Less prone to knock into the glass. I prefer the mosaic gar (spotted pike characin) far as they don't get as big and more manageable. Still a very interesting oddball of a fish.
