I was gonna ask about the red bellies too. How is that working out? I don't think I'd risk my bass but it look like a pretty cool community.

yea really interested to know, RBPs are a bit boring to keep on their own. have an elongatus in a seperator, espcaped a couple of times and snacked on everyone's fins.

apriliarider - that a camelot in your avatar? I'm keeping one too.

Def Brycon..... Not sure on species though, there's too dam many of them.
So true.

No she's a blue and gold. She's been with me for 7 years now. I rescued her at 4 years old. We have 13 others too... lol

I just threw the brycon in there roughly 3 days ago, it seems to have worked out ok(no fin loss either). The first day a rbp or two chased the brycon around, but the second day they were ok. I figured that since the pbass were too fast and aggressive for the rbps to do damage to, the brycon would be the same. I actually traded 5 rbp for the brycon, I used to have 10 with the 2 pbass, 2oscars, and the red tail cat. But yeah rbps get boring after a while + the tank was overstocked.

be careful, brycons dont play well w others....

keep us posted but i dont think ive ever seen a brycon in a comm tank

I had a Brycon Melanopterus and it had distinct moods and fish it liked and didn't like. It took a good few months though before singling out my Geophagus. It'll be the usual case of it being dependant on personallity but as Trev said, keep an eye; Dentex are supposed to be especially nasty.
