Looking good.

What's your feeding regime? You need to feed it 3/4 times a day if possible. I'd keep the lights off for a week or so also, reduces stress while it settles in.

I feed it as many earth worms as it can eat 2 times a day ... Thanks for the light tip I will keep them off for a while

Very nice hystrix. It will take a few weeks for it to put some weight on. Good score. I would go back to the store and see if they can get more.

Well I hope the weight gaining weeks fly by he's looking good so far.... I'm keeping my eyes out for more hystrix mislabeled funny thing is the store owner is a Ray keeper himself he had a breeding pair of black diamond rays now just the mom and 1 pup left... I would have thought he knew about the mislabeled Ray

Don't see or hear much about wild hystrix coming from Brazil anymore. I'm guessing there is still a quota for rays going out of Brazil. Perhaps this ray was labeled as "laticeps" to skirt around the numbers of "hystrix". Great looking ray. Keep us updated.
