A new LFS opened here and I went to see what they had to offer. They didn't have much yet but I kinda dug this guy so I bought him for 2 bucks. The young kid there had no idea what it was but he looks like some kind of shovel-nose pleco to me. Can a brother get some help with an ID? Thanks ya'll.

It is one of the farlowellas, either acus or gracilus, the acus is a little more robust but still looks like a whiptail on a diet, it gets about 6" long, the gracilus is even thinner and can reach 8"s. They eat mainly green algae but you can substitute cooked greens and mashed green peas, They will also enjoy the occasional bit of protien from tubifex worms and black worms. I have kept a lot of these in community tanks of small fish.
