id help please

well i aquired this guy from a friend of mine a few weeks ago.. he was moving and didnt take his fish with him. he couldnt find a home for the gar so i took it. im not wure what kind of gar he is.. any help will be apreciated..

at the moment he is in a 75 gallon tank to grow out in..

Boulangera bad spelling but not true gar will hear that from others very quick. nice fish though
