It should be able to handle itself fine. As long as they are not a lot bigger. Mine has quite the attitude actually. Always messin with my Jag and Butterkoferi.

The Con is a fair size bigger than him, almost twice his size if you include general bulk. I've seen Draco take a couple swipes at him too. I would rather move him I think, if he'll be okay with the fish in my SA tank.

yeah might be a good idea then. What is in your other tank? They grow pretty quick so if you put it in a tank where it will be dominant it may catch up. But probably not the RD I guess :( Kinda just depends what's in the other tank as to what I would do.

How's the temperment on these guys? I've read that they're peaceful, which means I'd like to get him out of the monster tank with Draco and Brutus right away...especially since he's the smallest of the trio. Could I put him in my SA community tank, with 2 severums, 3 S. daemon, 1 G. surinamensis, 2 angels, 1 choco, and 1 A. diadema?

...That's what's in the SA tank ;)

you need bns in the tank you have heeps of agle

I don't need anything, thanks. In this tank, a pleco that small would likely get ripped to pieces. There is nothing wrong with a bit of algae in a tank, having an absolutely spotless tank just makes it look unnatural.

I would think it would do fine in their but then you'll have to watch him to make he doesn't beat them up. He is pretty much right in between those two tanks lol. I would probably switch him over and if that doesn't work out change everything around in you other tank and try him out with the big guys again.

Thanks for the help all, it turns out it is indeed a Synspilum. It is quite dark since moving in - possibly because it now lives over black gravel and in the store it had beige sand - but at the store it was very light, a peachy pink colour with a lot of sparkle to it.

Substrate makes a huge difference on Synspilum. Mine was really dark when in my black sand tank and turned very light colored now in my white sand tank.

There is another that I left behind because I wasn't sure if it was pure or not, but I think now I'm going to go back and get it.

That might not be a great idea. Sysnpillum generally do well with other species but their conspecific temperament is typically aggressive.

Also make sure you include lots of veggies in their diet.

Yeah, I've already decided against getting the other one, as tempting as it is. Lol I don't need any more huge monsters than I already have anyway. Thanks for the tips though. I think for now I'm going to leave it in with Draco and Brutus, they seem to be settling in better and getting along more now. I'll give him another week or two and if he seems to hold his own against the larger two, I'll leave him be.
